The topic for the study conducted was about food insecurity among a group of university freshman. In past research done with college students, the participants ranged from lower classmen to upperclassmen and they were from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. These prior studies showed that food insecurity affected almost fifty percent of the students surveyed and the participants had stated that they had noticed differences in their health behaviors and education due to food insecurity. Although this current study only consists of college freshmen instead of the whole student body, I believe the study will find a link between inadequate nutritional food intake and negative impact on their education. Other studies were included in this research, like physical health, leisure activities and daily life items.
