Subject Line: This is one of the most important and neglected lines of email communication. Always use subject lines to announce the key idea. Opening: Dear is always acceptable and correct. You could also use Hello. Use titles when appropriate.
Describe your relevant experience e. Honestly identify concrete skills you would bring to graduate school, and also describe the skills you hope to acquire. Articulate why you want to pursue a graduate degree at this specific institution! Again, be specific. Link your research interests to the expertise and research programs of faculty here.
A well-written resume should provide a potential employer with a solid idea of which skills and abilities you'd bring to the job. Beyond that, there are ways to add some personality to your resume, and show how you'd be a good cultural fit. You do that by working personal interests into your resume.
